Andi's Oats
I don’t really like the mainstream porridge. To me, the texture is just not what I want. So I came up with a method that is much more desirable to anyone who dislikes the regular porridge. The texture reminds me of a cake but it is waaaay healthier.
ingredients
- 160g water
- 1 tbsp flaxseeds
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp agave/maple syrup
- fresh fruits and nuts of choice
- yogurt
instructions
- Mix the oats, flaxseeds, cinnamon, and water and let sit for at least an hour, preferably overnight.
- Put the mixture in the microwave at maximum for about 2 minutes. You will see that the oat mixture is going to turn a bit doughy, and that is exactly what we want.
- Now it is your turn to be creative. I always add a tablespoon of sweetness in the form of maple or agave syrup. Then I top everything with fresh fruits, nuts of choice, and 2-3 tablespoons of soy yogurt.
